Sweet and Sour Lychee Pork

Sweet and Sour Lychee Pork is a famous traditional dish in Fuzhou. It was named after its Lychee-shaped look with white water chestnut and shallowly cut pork slices.

The cooking method of Sweet and Sour Lychee Pork is similar with Sweet and Sour Pork (Gu Lao Rou) with the cutting technique and seasonings the most distinctive differences. 

The sliced pork will curl into Lychee-shape when being fried. Then it is seasoned with ketchup, vinegar, sugar, soybean sauce, fermented glutinous rice from Fuzhou and other seasonings.
