Western Xia Imperial Tombs

The Western Xia Imperial Tombs, also known as the Western Xia Mausoleum, are the tombs of the emperors and royal families of the Western Xia Dynasty. The tombs are located in the west of Yinchuan City in Ningxia, with Helan Mountain in the west, and Yinchuan Plain in the east. At 1,130 m to 1,200 m above sea level, it is one of the largest existing imperial cemeteries in China with the best-preserved ground sites. It is also the largest historical site of Western Xia culture. The Western Xia Imperial Tombs are the only scenic spot that merely consists of imperial mausoleum, which inherit the history of Tuoba clan from the Northern Wei Dynasty to Western Xia.
