China Coal Museum

The most prominent feature of the museum is the "Coal Amusement Palace." The "Coal Fun Palace" is the largest simulated mine in Asia. It adopts large quantities of material prototypes or replicas on a 1:1 scale reappearing unground simulated mine, with a touring route of several hundreds of meters. Visitors can wear mining clothes and helmets, take an elevator underground and walk through the simulated underground coal digging tunnel to feel the hardships and dangerousness of coal miners.

The China Coal Museum is a collection center for national coal industry historical relics, specimens, literature and information. It is located on the west shore of Fenhe Park in Taiyuan. Rich coal resources in Shanxi have led to the museum being the only national coal industry museum in China.
