Mukden Fuling, Zhaoling and Yongling Tomb

Mukden is the Manchurian name of modern day Shenyang and the site of the Qing Dynasty's inception, China's last feudal dynasty. Here lie the mausoleums of the dynasty's founder and his ancestors: the Yongling Mausoleum, Fuling Mausoleum and the Zhaoling Mausoleum.

The Fuling, Zhaoling and Yongling Tombs constitute an important part of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and are a clear example of the direct heritage of Ming and Qing burial construction in terms of architecture, building regulations, elaborate sacrificial rites and mausoleum institutional systems.

On July 1, 2004, the Fuling, Zhaoling and Yongling Tombs were approved as a World Heritage Site under the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing dynasties at the 28th Session of the World Heritage Committee in Suzhou.
