Wuqing Dahuangpu Wetland

Dahuangpu Wetland Natural Reserve locates in the east of Wuqing District in Tianjin. It is a wetland ecosystem composed of various ecological elements like marshy grassland, swamp, waters and wildlife, nurturing rich wetland resources, intensive water network, thick reeds, cool climate, fresh air and a wide variety of plant and animal species. The highlight is the reeds area which is the sweetest home to the migratory birds. A great number of them will stay here during the migration time every year. In order to facilitate the viewing and photography of birdwatchers, a wooden bird-watching platform was built in the wetland and the fire-proof watchtower has been opened to the public. The beauty of the wetland also attracts a large number of art-loving people to paint here. It is a bird-watching site where people can view birds all year round and the representative bird species include cormorants, European herring gull, Little Egret, whooper swan, common crane, etc.
